Course
Description: This one-day course covers the different
aspects of mobile and manufactured housing, including
regulations for electrical, gas, water, and sewer hookups
in the mobile home park. Students learn about setbacks
for porches, carports, and driveways, as well as the
methods used by various manufacturers for installation
of water heaters, furnaces, and electrical panels as
well as structural frame support systems. Course training
includes the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development
(HUD) regulations as it pertains to the construction
of a manufactured home.
Goal:
Upon completion of this class, students will be able
to perform an inspection and write an inspection report
on a Manufactured/Mobile home including its systems
and components.
