The State of New York Requires:	Kaplan Offers:
Complete a minimum of 140 Hours of Approved Home Inspection Education (which includes 40 hours of unpaid inspection experience under the direct supervision of a licensed inspector).	We do not currently offer a licensing course approved by New York. For licensing requirements click here.
Pass an approved written exam as administered by the state.	Our online, Virtual Exam Prep Course and on-line practice exam enhances your classroom experience and knowledge giving you the edge you need to pass your required exams.
Maintain and file with the State proof of a certificate of liability insurance in the amount of $150,000/Occurrence and $500,000/Aggregate.	A partial list of insurance providers is available here.
