 David Samloff
Lead Kaplan Instructor
David Samloff is the owner of Advantage Inspection Group in the Richmond, Virginia
area. He has completed over 8,000 residential and commercial inspections over the last
16 years. David also performs commercial draw inspections throughout the
Commonwealth of Virginia. As the sole owner and operator of three inspection
companies, he has been an inspector in both San Diego, California, and Richmond,
Virginia. David is a Certified ASHI Inspector and one of approximately 300 Virginia
Certified Home Inspectors. In addition, he is the President of Central Virginia ASHI,
member of the Virginia Association of Real Estate Inspectors, and a former Certified
CREIA inspector. Previous to his inspection profession, David was involved in the
Hospitality industry for over 15 years as a General Manager and Project Manager for a
variety of hospitality companies and involved himself in the design, development, and
construction of several large hospitality projects throughout the nation. During his free
time, he is a devoted husband and father of three children.

John Bouldin
is a professional Virginia-certified home inspector and owner or ProTechs
Home Inspections (www.protechs.net)
in Alexandria, VA. He is a member of the Virginia Board for Asbestos,
Lead, and Home Inspectors, which is the Regulatory Board that administers
the Virginia Home Inspector certification program. John is affiliated
with ASHI and NAHI and earned a BS and an MBA from Virginia Tech.. John
has personally performed over 4,350 home inspections.

 Bob Shipp
Kaplan Instructor
A home inspector since 1994, Bob Shipp has performed more than 5000 home inspections. In 2002 he started his own full service, multi inspector firm that serves the Shenandoah Valley and Central Virginia. Prior to beginning his inspection career, Bob spent a twenty-one year career as a classroom teacher and part time remodeler. Bob’s company is now one of the largest inspection firms in the Shenandoah Valley area, performing more than 600 home inspections annually. He specializes in older homes (100+ years old), log homes, resort homes and resolving issues in newly constructed homes. He is ASHI Certified and Virginia State Certified. Bob is a National Radon Safety Board Certified Radon Measurement Technician and gives public service presentations on indoor air quality. He is a member of the Virginia Association of Real Estate Inspectors and the Central Virginia Chapter of ASHI. He is a Certified Energy Efficiency Inspector and speaks frequently to professional and civic groups promoting the benefits of increasing home energy efficiency. He obtained his Bachelor of Science and Masters Degrees from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
