140-Hour Complete New York Pre-Licensing Package
Kaplan offers a complete pre-licensing package for New York home inspectors, with a 100-hour NY Enhanced Home Inspection course and 40-hour Field Based Training course. 100-Hour Enhanced Home Inspection Course (Modules 1-4)
Kaplan's New York enhanced training program meets 100 hours of New York Home Inspector Licensing classroom education requirements. Learn how to inspect a home in compliance with the Standards of Practice of ASHI® and other nationally recognized professional inspection organizations. This course is comprised of 4 modules that can also be taken together or separately. MORE INFORMATION
40-Hour Field Based Training Course (Module 5)
Meets the requirements of obtaining 40 hours of field-based training under the direct supervision of a home inspector licensed by New York State, or a professional engineer or architect regulated by New York State who oversees and takes full responsibility for the inspection and any report produced. This course is 5 days in length and focuses on advanced reporting writing skills necessary in completing reports, includes inspections of properties arranged by Kaplan. MORE INFORMATION

Campus Photos
Students attending Field Training through the Manhattan School should not go to the classroom facility but will be contacted by the instructor in advance of the class and given the location and date of each field inspection. The students should meet at the field training locations on the appointed day and be ready to begin by 8:30 a.m. Students are responsible for their own transportation to and from each field training site during the class. Any questions should be resolved prior to the beginning of class by contacting the Education Department or the Field Training Instructor.
