Shannon
Cory
Lead Kaplan Instructor, Code Certified
Shannon is President of Rainbow Home Inspections, Inc. and has been performing residential inspections in the metro Atlanta areas since 1998. Most of Shannon’s success has been from his innovative reporting methods, marketing techniques and continuing educational programs. Some of his past back ground, which helped him make the decision to become a home inspector was while growing up in North Alabama Shannon assisted his grandfather who had a small contracting business that built custom homes. Prior to moving to Georgia in 1979, Shannon spent 13 ½ years with Lamont Doherty Geological Observatory of Columbia University as a technician and research engineer building structures for seismic sites in 54 countries around the world. The last three years while with Lamont, construction took place in Alaska, Chiang Mai Thailand, Charter Towers Australia, Elat Israel, Kongsberg Norway, and New York State. Shannon is a member of or holds certifications in or certificates in the following: Building Officials and Code Administrators International(BOCA), Exterior Design Institute(EDI), Southern Building Code Congress International(SBCCI), International Code Council(ICC), Mold & Healthy Home, National Radon Proficiency Program(NRPP) as a residential Measurement Provider, Mold Surveying and Sampling, and Thermography Building Science.
