He developed continuing education classes for real estate schools and has written and taught classes nationally for the National Association of Independent Fee Appraisers (NAIFA). He assisted in the creation of the National Home Inspection Exam® (NHIE®) and was a charter Board member on the Examination Board of Professional Home Inspectors (EBPHI). Don has been quoted in numerous print articles, on television and radio highlighting the importance of home inspections and is a contributing author to the ASHI Reporter, Inspection Report and other publications. He chaired several national committees for the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI) and co-authored ASHI’s Home Inspection Training Curriculum. He served on the ASHI national board as a Director for two years before being elected as an officer. Don was the President of the ASHI in 2005.
