Enhanced Infrared & Acoustical Home Inspection Course
Five days, $1199
This advanced training program covers the physics of thermal (infrared) imaging, proper use of infrared cameras, infrared image interpretation and creating a thermal window for optimal thermal imaging. Infrared cameras detect extremely small but crucial differences in temperature from one area of a house to another. These temperature variations show up on the camera’s view screen as “cold” or “hot” spots, providing vital information that cannot be obtained through a traditional visual inspection, including: faulty wiring, breakers and fuses, hidden moisture intrusion, moisture sources of mold, pipe and duct work leaks, roof and ceiling leaks, heat/energy loss, structural concerns, missing insulation, ventilation problems, moisture associated with termite nests, and rats, mice and other pests.
