ASHI Selects Kaplan Professional Schools as First Classroom Education Provider
Chicago, IL, June 17, 2004

Chicago, IL, June 17, 2004 - Kaplan Professional Schools (Kaplan), the leading provider of home inspection training, today announced that it has entered into a joint marketing agreement with the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI), the largest professional association for home inspectors in North America.

Under the terms of the agreement, Kaplan's Enhanced Home Inspection Course will be offered through ASHI's School of Home Inspection, a collective group of educational opportunities for aspiring and veteran home inspectors. Kaplan, with locations in eight states, will serve as the first ASHI-endorsed classroom education provider.

"Kaplan's superior training will play a critical role in ASHI's School of Home Inspection, filling our need for classroom learning," said Rob Paterkiewicz, Executive Director of ASHI. "With thousands of home inspection professionals seeking training, this agreement will assist us in offering first-rate education to ASHI members and beyond."

According to data from ASHI, the number of home inspection professionals in the U.S. has steadily increased since the 1970s, with more than 25,000 today.

"Our collaboration with ASHI will allow us to strengthen our position as the leading provider of home inspection training resources," said Kevin O'Malley, President of Kaplan.

Kaplan is part of the network of Kaplan Professional Schools, a leading provider of home inspection, real estate, insurance and securities education. Since its founding in 1987, Kaplan has served over 16,500 students through classroom instruction, correspondence courses and other training materials.
